Help Help with Titanium Back-up and Market - Solved!

Before I ask my question I would like to say that this titanium Back up is so laggy and broken, for some reason some times it can freezes while (freezing, uninstalling applications)

I mean I have root and I enjoy its uninstaling functions , but from Titanium Back up several applications started bugging. The latest failure, which I cannot fix on my own is the "Market application" in the system. It stopped opening considering that I never froze it or uninstalled it or anything. Then I made a back up with the Titanium and I uninstalled it, thinking that this will fix the problem, now it says , "no back up is made", but I saw the back up smiley face next to the adnroid market application ? Now when I press on the Market application it says "application is not installed on your phone"!

My phone is rooted / I have busy box / I have the XXKG6 Kernel.

Edit: I managed to restore it, but still it like force closes, I do not know what to do, in the Titanium I have nothing frozen or deleted which is remotely connected to "market" application?

Do you have usb debugging enabled? I have a copy of the new market app if you need it

Yes of course USB debugging is on!

I recovered the market application but it simply closes (for a milisecond) without a force close window or anything. please send me a copy of the one you have to me (I will write u PM in a bit).

Backing up system apps will give you problems. Its good practice to only backup user apps.

Thank you, I will keep that in mind. Could someone please send me the android market application (working) because I cannot find it and it keeps crashing in opening. Thanks a lot in advance

You will loose all user apps and data, contacts, sms, call logs, wifi access points, and other bits like this. You will not loose root or kernel.
Have you tried clearing the data in market app? Settings>manage applications>All>market>clear data.

I have tried everything possible, install , uninstall, restarts, back ups, freeze, unfreeze, wipe, install different versions, clear data, force stops and Combinations of the above mentioned.

Now I now I'm downloading other versions of the market applications.

If anyone has suggestions, please ....

Have you done the reset yet? If not download this
Put the zip file on your phone memory, reboot into CWM (From power off press and hold Vol up, home, power)
Go to install zip, select the zip file, select yes. Once the zip has flashed reboot the phone.

Have you done the reset yet?

No because I have 1 milion games and applications + contacts and stuff, I do not want to have to do it. I will wait 1-2 days and try to find other solution, because to get my settings to the way they were it will take me 1-2 days really.

I'm on the verge of chewing on my phone. lets see if the gorilla glass can handle teeth ...

oh and the application which I have backed up and I was using is Market 2.3.6 + Market feedback Agent 2.3.3 ; Market updated 1.0 - these are the ones I see in the Titanium backup pro.

You dont need to backup, the zip only installs the market. Try flashing without uninstalling first.

This is what happens

1) I go to: From power off press and hold Vol up, home, power
2) it shows me the following:

reboot system now
apply update from sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

I do not have any other menus. No option for installing zip or anything like that.
Any suggestions ?

Also it says:
"Applying Multi - CSC ...
Installing Multi - CSC
Can't access to "system/csc/Xeu/System". sucessfully applied multi - CSC."

Sorry I assumed you had CWM recovery because you were rooted. You could flash CWM recovery here:
Install ClockworkMod 4.0.0.2 (CWM) Recovery For Samsung Galaxy S2 (II) [How to] | Inspired Geek
Once CWM is installed you will have that option.

An alternative would be to flash your firmware again, this will reinstall the market.

For some reason the odin doesn't see the phone in Windows Xp (when I'm trying to install the CWM in PDA), it says some samsung drivers are missing and asks for Samsung cd, but I will do it from my laptop (windows 7) tonight and let you know if it works. In all cases Big thanks to "STESLATT"

Is it possible to backup all apps not only apk but all files related to app, contacts and generally take "an image" of the phone as it is, just everything to be able to restore it later?

So i dont have to worry will i mess my device by rooting, if i will get a virus, my phone will crash during an update, whatever.

Generally from 0% to 100% from backup file. Like you can do with lets say Window 7 OS and apps. You just create an image of drive C: with a piece of software, you end up with 1 or couple files having lets say 40GB in size?

As far as I know that is only possible when you are rooted.
Not sure if Kies can do it? I dont use Kies.

I went through rooting procedure.

Its not that simple. Its actually quite complex!

Will i loose any of my data while rooting?

There are 2 huge posts which i should read before rooting.

lots of info and things may go wrong...

Steslatt, I have terrible news::eek:

1) I tried the CWM as u explained, step by step. Once I found the zip and pressed update It wrote the following:
"Amend scripting (update-script) is No longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the Clockworkmod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.
Installation aborted.

2) I re flashed new firmware (No change) the Market application still (just like force closes).

3) I tried flashing, updating , fixing stock kernels, custom kernel XXKG6 my old firmware / Nothing. The market application still doesn't open.

I'm pretty much comfortable with rooting and flashing firmware and so on, but now I'm stuck.
Any Ideas???
Except hard reset !

Why not flash with Odin and a rooted kernel? That will give you a patched CWM and root. 1 step.

What firmware are you on?

Found this from a forum:

Just had the same problem. Quick fix: go to settings/application/manage application/ go to market app then uninstall updates. Afterwards, reboot. This should help

Does that work?
