Lurker
For some reason when i connect my Galaxy Nexus to my PC, when i open the phone folder on my PC nothing shows.

Any clues?

I have had this phone for a little under a year now and i have only been able to get it to actually detect files once, and when it did it only found the photo's downloaded from apps, not my taken photo's/videos which i want to take off and backup + send to people.

I was using a blackberry before and it had downloadable/cd software. Does samsung not do this?

Thank you.

Is your phone locked? (as in the screen is black and you need to enter your pin or face unlock it? If so, unlock your phone and your phone should appear as a drive.

Try Airdroid from the Play Store. It's free and the only requirement is that you're on the same wifi connection.

I've seen this on my PC once, the issue was that somehow windows had been setup to index all drives for speeding up search. Every time I connected my phone it would spend an eternity trying to index my phone.
