Root Help!

I just did the one click root method from http://androidforums.com/eris-all-t...is-app-apk-no-pcs-no-scripts-needed-easy.html

When I reboot, I keep getting the picture of a phone with a red triangle with an exclamation mark. What am I doing wrong?

Try vol up and the power button. (with your phone off) If that doesn't work try vol down and power. both with the phone off.

I've tried both. When I do vol down, I does go to, I think, a recovery screen, but then it always ends up with the same picture.

Did you flash a custom rom after you did the one click root? Or maybe the recovery screen didn't flash onto your phone. I don't know what would happen if you did the one click again.

No, I didn't flash a rom. All I did was download the one thing, ran it, agreed to the disclaimer, then rebooted.

Are you able to use your phone? the only other person that I would know to talk to is scary alien. Shoot him a pm and tell him your problem, he knows more about this then me.

Wish I could do more for you but, I rooted the old way with sdk.

FYI, got the PM...I think its just a case of not powering down and back up right after running the 1-click. You've got to do that to "cement" the writing of custom recovery since there's a piece of jcase's app that run on next reboot that actually writes the recovery right after boot when the recovery partition is newly unsecured. Then, after that power down/up cycle, you can shutdown and boot into your shiny, new custom recovery.

At least that's my theory...
