I need to revert back to 1.6 or 2.1 stock rom.
(i am currently using 2.3.5)
I know how to do it but i do not know which file
i have to download. I am living in Australia, and my phone is Optus.
But there is no Optus so do i choose
Australian version????
Or can i just look at the file i used to
install fastboot and do i use the same
as that?????

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Just use the australian one. It's the version used by LG for export to Aus. The Tel brands add their own bits to it.

Thank you.
But are you sure.
Cause i don't want to brick my phone.

Plus did anyone try it????
Please report back if anyone did it.

If you install it right and dont switch your phone off, and your PC doesnt crash there should be no risk of bricking your phone, all GT540s have the same hardware, the main differance between countries would be things like sim locks, settings, layout and some apps.

For example the Australian one could have sim locks for Australian networks sim cards so only they will work, it will have Australian localizations, things like the format of phone numbers will be how Australians use, and there could be different apps in the Australian verson.

There should be no problems using the Australian version.

Also when you revert back does it unroot???
Hope so!!!!!!
Because i think my phone is 2.1 but still rooted
