So basically , my phone is well and truly dead. I was wondering if anyone would know of a solution here for the problem so here goes. My samsung galaxy S2 was working fine up until two weeks ago , when it froze on the drop down screen. I turned the phone off after around 3 or 4 minutes of waiting for it to sort its self out as it didn't. After this I then turned the phone back on and got the samsung boot logo , as normal , however this time it was just the samsung logo ; nothing else. I then turned the phone off again and pressed the volume up power and home button and pressed reboot (oops) , later realising that I should have done a factory reset . Since that point the phone has never switched on again. Whenever I put the charger or usb in the phone gets really hot at the top which leads me to believe that some sort of issue exists with the motherboard?? God knows! Anyway , I sent the phone in to Virgin Mobile , who said that the issue was water damage in the usb port and they then wanted to charge me
