So basically , my phone is well and truly dead. I was wondering if anyone would know of a solution here for the problem so here goes. My samsung galaxy S2 was working fine up until two weeks ago , when it froze on the drop down screen. I turned the phone off after around 3 or 4 minutes of waiting for it to sort its self out as it didn't. After this I then turned the phone back on and got the samsung boot logo , as normal , however this time it was just the samsung logo ; nothing else. I then turned the phone off again and pressed the volume up power and home button and pressed reboot (oops) , later realising that I should have done a factory reset . Since that point the phone has never switched on again. Whenever I put the charger or usb in the phone gets really hot at the top which leads me to believe that some sort of issue exists with the motherboard?? God knows! Anyway , I sent the phone in to Virgin Mobile , who said that the issue was water damage in the usb port and they then wanted to charge me

Nothing happens unfortunately :(

Hello

If you cant get into download or recovery it seems like a hardbrick, you could have a look at this

One-Click Unbrick Tool For Samsung Android Devices | Samsung Software Hardware Solution

(if the user/pass comes up just click cancel)

The only other thing i can think of outside of a repair shop is trying a USB jig to see if you can force download mode

If you can get into download mode theres a possibility that you can get the phone back yourself

Cheers

The One Click doesn't recognise the phone , surely it's impossible to get the phone into download mode if it wont even turn on? I'd buy a usb jig if it would though? Not sure.

Thanks for your help

A USB jig will "boot" the phone into download mode, you can get them off ebay for 99p so may be worth a long shot, outside of that i would say a local repair shop may be you best option although some of the more experienced people here may have other suggestions

Cheers

Hello

Just one more thng you could try but its a real longshot

Start KIES, go to tools and select Firmware upgrade and Initialisation then follow the instructions, make sure your phone is not plugged in until it says too.

As you have had trouble with your USB and say the PC cant see your phone its a real longshot....but you have nothing to lose
