Help

Hi I'm new in the website and, as you can tell, I don't really know where to put my post so please excuse me. This is my situation. I have a tablet, don't know the brand because it's chineese, all it says when I try to turn it on is tknic or something like that. I don't know anything about it because it was given to me. When I hit the power botton it says on the top "booting into power mode" and after a while it goes to a screen where there's an android lying down on it's back with it's chest open and a red triangle with an "!" in it. I looked up some options of what I can do, like hit power and tap volume up but it doesn't work. Im guessing the ROM or something is damaged.

oh BTW, here are some specs of the tab on the outside.

It has a power botton, and volume up and down botton, it also has what it seems to be like a reset botton, a mini usb (note it's mini not micro), mini hdmi, normal size usb female that says "host", 3.5 mm jack and micro sd ports

I moved your thread to the general tablet talk section where you're likely to get the best help.

That's the stock recovery screen. There is likely a hidden menu to access from there, but without knowing which device you have, it's all guess work... Even if we can figure out which tablet it is, there's still a chance we can't find any support for it..


From the recovery screen, try different options such as holding volume down+power, holding volume up+power, holding both volume keys+power if the volume keys are independent, tap the power key, hold the power key for 10 seconds.


Also, check for a tiny hole on the tablet. Sometimes the generic tablets have a small button that you have to reach with a paper clip or another small object.

Is there a serial no. anywhere on it? Maybe on a sticker? Can you take a few pictures?

The tab DOES have this little hole, I gues it's like some kind of reset botton, I pressed it and nothing happens.

Take a look at this video.

I don't know if it's what you have but this one has a recessed button like that. Try what's in the video and if it doesn't work, experiment with it.

Possibly hold the reset button down for 30 seconds. Try variations from the video using it as a base. Wish I could give you a direct answer but unfortunately it's impossible with the available information.

That was an awesome video, and it actually helped me understand my tab a little. I followed the procedure and it does try to boot but I think the ROM is damaged because it doesn't boot it just keeps going in circles. do you know a way to "flash it"
