When deleting files on a phone, is it similar to a computer in that there is always pieces of that deleted file that stays behind?

If so, is this something that could pile up to the point of affecting the phone at some point until a reset is done?

Always wondered about that.

Nope its not like a computer. when you delete it on the computer, it just goes to the recycle bin. When you delete on a phone its gone period. it would be cool if there was something like that on phones though.

From my experiences when i deleted pictures i could always be able to retrieve them as long as i didnt take any new pictures because that would overwrite previous data. So from my understandings yes you do keep files until you add new ones. Correct me if im wrong.

Sd maid has to be the #1 tool for any android user. espially when you like to download a lot of apps. It finds all those files that is taking up space. i love using the "biggest file" thing. I always find something new thats taking up space.
