Here's how to check BB store inventory:

Picked up my BB preorder today! Never got an email tho, but when I called they told me that they were in. I'm in the central texas area and the website isn't showing that they are in stock. So call to be sure

I have just called them. BB said they have 5 of them at the back, but can't sell til the 17th. I didn't pre order mine but they still said even pre order, I still can't pick it up right away.
 
First BB I went to in SE Wisconsin had them. I saw two in stock and with some force saw that they were sprint branded ones through the plastic flap.
 
Should I go and ask for it even they said they aren't selling it til next week? I'm so excited to get the evo.

Checked BestBuy,Target and Walmart websites and no sign of Evo V on websites. At least BestBuy shows pre order (still!). Target and Walmart show no trace at all.

May be some of. BestBuy reps are telling truth that EVO V will be released to big retailers after June 17th. Bad bad Apple!

RadioShack seems like gambled on Sprint branded EVO V stock and they are making best of it - EVO V are selling like hot cakes - may be until iPhone arrives.

I just checked BestBuy.com and now sign is changed from Pre Order to Add to cart.

Also shows available in nearby stores for pickup as green.

Go for it.


Nothing yet in Walmart and Target.

My BB preorder now says backordered. I ordered on the first day available. Not sure what to think? Oh well, I'm in no rush anyway.

Check your closest Best Buy store using the top post in this thread. You can talk to Best Buy, but I believe it's within their policies to cancel the backordered item and just head to the store and buy it retail.

Yeah there are some in stock, but I'm up in the air about whether I want Sprint branded or VM branded. So I may just wait. My $25 plan doesn't run out until the 25th, so i have time.

I understand what you're saying. In my mind, buying the Sprint Evo 3D phone with Virgin Mobile branding would be like buying a Ferrari with Ford stickers all over it.

Tell them that you really want it and that VM says it was quoted for sale on the 10th. You might get lucky. I don't know why the 17th though
