Help Hero Maintenance Release

i still have 1.5 and was thinking about updating. After reading this thread, i'm back to leaving things as they are. Of course i would love my hero to be quicker and more responsive but i fear the issues some are having after updating. Anyone else have the 1.5 not rooted? If so, what are your issues, if any, with your phone and why haven't you updated?

Should i have rooted? I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to android phone stuff.

Ha! Thanks MahaloCat. I forgot I posted that up there. I've now updated to 2.1. Can I still root? Is there a link to the best way to go about rooting? I really love my Hero and I'd love it to work without bugs. I really want to get rid of the haptic feedback which now won't shut off since I updated.

I was told about Fresh Kitchen for rooting HERE. Anyone know anything about it?
