As you know, gingerbread has been out for a while. But now i am confused. I have read in a post that gb only supports 1ghz+ processers. Does this mean that you guys cant port gb over? Sorry if im being irratating.

Now the bad news...

The latest kernel we have does not allow wifi or radio with gingerbread, and any AOSP ROMs of 2.2, and 2.3 with CM or Miui will not allow WIFI or Radio... THis is how it is. Sorry guys!

I think we have all we'll ever need running 2.2 now. There's really no point in going to 2.3. It won't allow for any other capabilities that we don't already have.

At this point even 2.2.1 has out stripped the equipments capability.
They had to dumb down the OS to even put it on the Ally.

No Flash etc. I guarantee were not getting this phone any faster than Death2All or trident has made it.

At this point bringing over Ginger bread is for Bragging rights only. It really has nothing to offer us...... except maybe more head aches. LOL

Indeed, and its not to say we will NEVER have flash, Adobe has been fairly "supportive" of Android in ways I have never seen from them in another Phone OS. They do have a project for our processor, but it will take time. I just hope they finish before this community dies.

But as far as it goes, 2.2.1 hasn't been changes for us in any other way, the ally runs FroYo beautifully I find, and I am extremely happy with my phone now.

I much rather want Aosp 2.2.1 over 2.3 or CM or Miui in ANY way. I think we need to strive to make our own mark on Android, do our own thing. Make this our way!
