Welcome to the club... If your going to root I recommend using the TWRP method as it is the most user friendly atm... If there you have any questions after performing root ask we've seen far too many bricks from people trying to go it alone

Yep. These guys are awesome. They will bend over backwards trying to help.
And unless you are familiar with adb, I too suggest just using the twrp method until you get familiar with what's going on.. While they will do their best to help you, certain things can't be fixed right now.
You are gonna love this Zmax. It's not a flagship, but it feels like one. Also you got yours at the best time you could of... Some of us have waited over a year and tried countless methods trying to get root. We got it less than 2 weeks ago.
