Root Hi there

Hi i just bought a nexus s which has already rooted and got ice cream sandwhich on it. Now if i factory reset my phone will i lose the os?

Also when i go to the music player it comes up with all the sound effects for the games installed as well as music anyway of getting rid of this.
Oh 1 more thing do you know when the official release of ice cream sandwhich is coming out for the nexus s im in the uk on t-mobile.
