I want to hide or at least rename apps using the regular launcher on my HTC Evo 4g, "HTC Sense". I don't want to use launcher Pro or ADW. Can this be accomplished if I root my Htc Evo. When I go to Settings - Manage Applications, I have a list of downloaded apps showing all of the apps i have downloaded. This is where i want the app hidden or at least the name changed. I have searched for an app to hide them, but no luck without changing my launcher. I was just wondering if I rooted, if this was possible.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I am new to this technical stuff, and have never used or accessed folders on my phone. How do i access and organize folders? Do i need an app to do this? When you say "use the far right setting...shortcuts and create customs shortcuts to the apps and customize the icon." How exactly do i get there? Can I do all of this with the HTC Sense launcher?
i do not think that you can physically hide them without any consequences. you can freeze them with titanium backup but then again you still have tb on your phone. the only thing i can think of is physically go into the app and change things around but i have no idea how you would do that. you can't just rename them. its not that easy. not exactly sure why you would want to do this.

That's exactly what i was thinking, I have been looking around for him but i only found that app and read some reviews on it but have not actually tested it myself.
