Holiday Settings

Hello all, I'm going to Spain tomorrow. Can anyone give me any advice as to any settings I should change so I don't get charged a fortune. Thanks in advance

Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Data when Roaming (uncheck).

You should be sorted.

You'd still be able to make calls etc, but it shouldn't connect any 3G networks. I'm not sure if that would affect your ability to send/receive MMS though.

I assume you could also uncheck mobile network which will stop it trying to connect to data but still allow calls and texts

I'd check the box to keep wifi on, as there is an abundance of wifi spots in Espania

Also check with your network operator; mine has a "roaming" plan which if activated limits your daily costs if you do need internet access. If you don't activate it the bills are sky high!
