Holy Motorola Xoom commercial

Too bad it costs $800 freakin' dollars.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. It looks so awesome. But so overpriced. Plus, did you guys see that fine print? Looks like we HAVE to get 3G for at least a month, no wifi-only. And since you can't just buy it for a month, that'll be a year or two of service.

How do you figure? You can buy any service from Verizon on a monthly basis. Why do you think people buy un-subsidized phones?

That commercial was awful. It did nothing to show what the xoom can do or why it is better then the ipad. Let alone that it is an android tablet.

brinky's comment is spot on. That commercial was embarrassingly bad. How could anyone at Moto even think that that was worth showing to the public no less during the Super Bowl. The average middle schooler could have come up with a better commercial. Looks like they hired the same marketing firm that was responsible for those hideous Palm Pre commercials. Whoever made the decision to go with that should be taken out back and put down.

I thought the commercial could have been better. The masses who were watching Super Bowl probably didn't even make the connection to Apple's 1984 classic commercial, nor was the Xoom product properly placed. For a million dollar ad, it was a let-down.

You think that was bad?

You should see the SE Android Play advertisement.

$800 plus a plan is ridiculous. The price is insane to begin with. Buying a 2 year plan with a tablet puts you in Joker style insanity.
