This is an awesome phone for the price. I've been testing it for the last several weeks and using it as a daily driver, so I'm not speaking from specs.

Your testament speaks volume to me. There is nothing move valuable than positive reviews from one that you trust. It looks like the phone is very well constructed. Did I see somewhere that you said it was a bit heavy? Personally I enjoy a phone with some weight. Old school I guess but I've always associated weight with quality.

It's a comfortable heavy if that makes sense. Like the P8 Lite felt like you weren't holding a phone it was so light (pardon the pun), you know you are holding a phone in this case.

Excellent! However, I thought the P8 felt heavy for it's girth. I was impressed with the build as well.
It definitely opened my eyes to their products. I'm so tired of the plastic, almost disposable feeling you get with most phones today.

This phone, like the GX5, feel plenty solid. I guess the best way I can put it is the girth is right so it feels comfortable in my hand and I'm not afraid of dropping it. I haven't had a phone that felt like that naked since the original Moto Droid. Where the weight felt right for the size of the phone. Phones I've had in between are the GNex, S3, Moto X 2013, and the P8L.

So it def doesn't have NFC or 5GHz? I could probably deal with NFC, but 5GHz is pretty much necessary in my house. I have baby monitors that blast on 2.4 that make the internet slow to a crawl.

Nope, no 5GHz either.:(

no 5GHz might be a killer for me, but otherwise definitely a good phone to buy unlocked if you're a big world traveller and popping foreign sim cards in all the time!

Of the three Huawei phones I've used, this one has the best sim tray layout as both sim slots can be used regardless of whether you are using an SD card.
