Housing bent ... fixable?

I've dropped my Desire a couple of times, and now the brown part of the housing has bent and separated from the rest of the housing. Are there clips that hold it on that I may have broken? Can you buy a replacement for just the brown part of the housing? Any suggestions for fixing, aside from sticking a glob of epoxy in there?

Ouch! That's one hell of a ding. I'd look into getting the hole housing changed. Remember though, if you take off the casing you will probably void your warrenty by removing the screw covers. Probably not the answer you want, but there's no way of buffing that one out!

If something is obviously heavily damaged through being maltreated, dropped etc, manufacturers can and do refuse warranty

The warranty is void because of human negligence? Ie any faults would be put down to the fact it has been externally damaged? I
if it was just a scratch that would be one thing
visible signs of dropage like that will tell them the internal components my be failing due to shock damage.
if they can prove youve dropped it from significant height you done for.
this would be a call to the insurance company instead
