How bad is the Moto Facebook?

So I have the official facebook application from the market. One thing that makes me mad is when I take a picture and try to "upload" it from there or "share" I can't do it on facebook because I dont use the Moto Facebook.

I can't link my contacts to facebook because i dont use the moto facebook app. Like getting their pictures as contact pictures. and so on.

How bad is it? and is there a way around it?

Also with the official facebook application, how do I actually get it to notify me of stuff? I got messages and wallposts, and it doesn't tell me. It only tells me when I load the application up and it says "notifications" and has the number. It doesnt play a sound or anything. Its set to refresh itself every hour. Notifications "Active" Messages, friend requests.
 
I use the Moto FB app still just for contact info. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to want to sync pictures since 2.2 so I use Syncmypics to update those
 
Works just fine for me. I send pics to it from the gallery as I take them. Never been a big 'sync' type since that stuff rarely works for me for some odd reason.

Try my work around I wrote, should fix you right up and let you enjoy it again if your interested =)
