Help How can you remove extra ringtones?

chuck-sc

Newbie
I have the mp3 ringtone app (very good one btw), and when i have created new ringtones, if want to edit it, it will add it as a new ringtone to the ringtone menu on the phone, not on the app itself. Needless to say I have a few duplicates tha I want to remove from the phone menu.

Does anybody know how to do it?

Maybe this will help you:

Your ringtones live in: /system/media/audio/ringtones/ and are .ogg files. Just navigate there in a file manager and delete away. They will still appear in the ringtone menu until you reboot. File names don't always match -exactly- with the name in the menu (as the title name comes from the TITLE value in the embedded info in each file) but it's close enough to easily figure out). I would assume that whatever app you're using stores them there too.
