Well, on WinMob I always had MyMobiler running, which worked o.k., however, the Android version of MyMobiler is not very good.


Here I found an alternative to MyMobiler :
  1. Install the android sdk
  2. Connect your device through USB cable and ensure it's detected with "adb devices"
  3. Make sure you have Java Runtime Environnement 5 or later installed
  4. Copy/paste the link ( or click on it ) below in your browser

Interesting app / utility, vce. Thank you for sharing :).

I didn't download it and run it because I didn't know what it was (and I'm guessing other's might not, either :)).

For those that don't know what this is, here's a quote about it from the Google projects site:

I have AirDroid installed as well, but it does not work for the task I want to do.

I'd like to have a desktop app, like the old "MyMobiler" in Windows Mobile, which displays the phone on my Windows desktop, let me start an application, then enter text into this applicaton via my regular desktop keyboard. Would be nice, if the Android version of MyMobiler would work as good as the Windows Mobile one, but it does not. Colors wrong, choppy and constantly disconnects from USB.

The possibility I posted above is also far from perfect, but it seems to be at least stable, but it also misses some key features.

For managing files, contacts, calendar, etc., I use Android Manager WiFi, which works great to sync and backup your stuff, but not for real-time device input.

Hi,

nope, you can remotly control your desktop computer with Teamviewer, but you can't control your phone from your desktop. This is even clearly stated on the Teamviewer help website.

However, if you know a trick on how to do it, please let me know. I have two Teamviewer accounts, one for desktop, one for phone.
