Root How do I back up before ROMing, etc.?

Z4rooted.
Want to delete bloatware and try a ROM.

Thanks in advance. God I feel like a %##$% newbie...

Yes, I just now rooted.
 
Download and install Droid X Bootstrapper. The market has it or you can grab it free here:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/08/droid-x-recovery.html

Open Droid X Bootstrapper, click the first button that says "Bootstrap Recovery." Wait for "install successful" message.

Click the second button that says "Reboot Recovery"

Once it reboots into a black screen with a green menu, scroll down to backup and restore, and hit backup.

I use that along with ROM Manager to keep everything organized.
