Help How do I change the theme for my captivate

I'm new to android..this is my first android phone.
Im not rooted..running on 2.1
What do I have to do to change the theme?

In the marketplace I saw a cool windows 7 theme but it said...(the app is by "diceman4") I need another app from the market but when I look for that app I can't find it. I guess its because at&t won't let it show

Basically I would like to know how to change themes...
do I have to pay for each theme?
If I have to root then I'm out of luck.
 
More than likely you have to download Ahome or dxTop Pro: Home Alternative. List the theme and I'll look it up and get back to you about what you should downlaod.

I tried launcher pro but I didn't like it. The only thing I liked about launcher pro was the dock. I missed the captivates app drawer. another thing about launcher pro is that it would net let me add any widgets to the home screen. on the entire screen I could only add 1x1 icons.. And they were oversized, when I tried to add fancy widget it wouldn't let me and then I tried to add a 3x1 clock and it still wouldn't let me. I'll dx top pro..I'm guessing I have to buy it though right?

I tried dxtop I didn't like it. I think its ugly.
I re installed launcher pro and this time it let me add fancy widgets to my home screen.

I like launcher pro because of the cool docks. That's it really.

both apps asked for shady permissions so I got rid of them both. One permission was to make calls that I could get billed for.

One dock was called "froyo" will I get that once the official 2.2 froyo update comes out?

Will froyo be like launcher pro Where I can change docks easily?

what else will froyo be able to do..i know it will increase speed somewhat..but I thought it was only for speed. That froyo dock in launcher pro intrigues me.
I'm wondering if it will change the entire look of my phone.
