Root how do I get CM7 on my optimus v?!

Hey everyone, I'm new to rooting and just gave myself cm7 on my motorola triumph with help from this forum! Now I'm wondering if it can be done on my optimus v! i dont now if CM7 is available for it or not which is why I'm making this thread

if it is available, where can i download cm7 and gapps for the optimus and where can i download cwm for this phone as well?

yeah I saw that, is that the same thing as what's on my triumph? and is it going to be just as easy to get it on my optimus as it was on the triumph?

It is CM7, but CM7 doesn't officially support the Optimus V, so it is a user's port of CM7 to the Optimus V. I am unsure exactly what is on the Triumph, I opted for a mobile that works.

It was easier to install the ROM than it was to root the Optimus.

Still kinda new to this whole Android rooting experience, and wondering how do I install CM7 onto my Optimus V.

I went to the link provided "http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-all-things-root/378525-rom-wip-backside-rom-cm7-green-machine-theme.html"

but it still doesn't make sense.

How do I install BacksideUpdater on my phone? I've got a stock phone...How do I get into recover mode?

I've downloaded everything, dumped it on the SD card (root), now how do I 'install' it" ?

Thanks for your help. I'm still a newb...will be forever.
