Root how do i get... new to root.

I would like to put 2.2 froyo on my Droid. I want a flash player and WiFi tethering. So.....

I just want to make my screen look like my co-workers HTC evo. After im rooted will all of the icons, widgets, clock, etc. will it look the same as that?Is there a particular Rom or version I should use.

It will never look exactly like HTC sense although if you download "fancy widget" now before they change it you can get an HTC like clock and weather app. Launcher pro and ADW launcher are so much better than sense that I wouldn't want sense anyway.

You can still get the HTC clock look from Weather & toggle widgets and downloading the h7c skin.
 
That's what I use. And you can customize the clock and widget. Well worth the couple of extra bucks.
