Root how do I icrease the size of my system cache?

I just installed CynagenMod 7 on my HTC Desire but am not able to download larger apps such as Google Maps, Angry Birds...apparently my System Cache is too small (currently 3.9 mb)... does anyone know how I can increase this?
PLease help! :confused:
 
You must have changed it to be that small, stock its 40mb i think. Have you changed the HBOOT already?
 
ya it says it has 40mb total but only 4mb free... i've booted in recovery mode and cleaned the cache but that did not change anything :(
any other ideas?

lots of things, market could have existing downloads in the list
other programs can use up lots of cache as well.
try going to manage applications, market, clear cache
 
Hi,

I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab with android 2.2 Froyo. I tried to update My Country from the android market, but got an error message. Download unsuccessful. Not enough space on the device. After some digging I realized it's probably the fault of the system cache. I have 30,07 mb, all of it free, (I haven't changed anything) but the program is bigger than this. How can I change the size of my system cache? I have the factory rom, and I'm very much a beginner.

If you have root access, we can perhaps bypass the /cache partition with scripts temporarily, but I doubt there is anything that can be done without root access.

I would perhaps confirm this in the Galaxy tab forum though.

I found a working script. Can you tell me how to use it? I have terminal emulator on my tablet.

Step 5-10 tells you what you need to do.

If you need help using adb, I have an faq in my Sig. Not specifically for tab but its all the same
