Help How do I know if I am on a 4G or 3G connection?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I've looked in the G2 user manual and can't find the answer (so no RTFM replies please!).

The manual indicates that the 3G connection is indicated in the status bar with an icon that has an "H" in it. Is there a different icon to indicate a 4G connection?

H shows for both utms and hspa. The only way to know on the stock rom is under settings, about phone. You can also install a signal widget.

If you're a rooter; I flashed a PC10Img file, and now whenever I'm on 3G, it says 3G, and when I'm on fo-G (because Tmo got ghetto 4G, LoL!!) it says 4G.

If you're just a standard user, using your phone, then yea, your question's been answered already. LoL!!

"There are 3 symbols for data connections:
G = GPRS (old 2G)
E = EDGE (advanced 2G)
H = UMTS (3G) or HSDPA (advanced 3G, but marketed as 4G-speeds by T-Mobile)"
