Root How do I un-root without a computer?

I recently broke my usb charge input, so I can't do it with the computer because it isnt recognized anymore. Surely there must be some way to get it unrooted without a computer at all. I can still charge it if I keep the input bent in a certain way. PLEASE HELP ME!

Welcome to the forums Richard!....Do you have a card reader???

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+1 to the card reader. you can just download the s-on tool and the PC36IMG file onto your sd card. if you do not have a card reader then you can another persons evo with your sd card in it or you can download the file directly to the sd card from your phone. you can get bith files from the unrooting section in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies.html guide.

Hi Ocnbrze

No Power Button

I have the unroot files on the root of my sd but.... the power button is acting up and I'm trying to unroot to return to sprint store and get a replacement.

Any ideas how I could do it. USB works fine.

Thanks for any help and of course ALL of the help in the past

With the power button acting up, that can be a problem...If it's working here and there, try to be patient with it until you can select those files and unroot your Evo. If it's completely broken, then you may have to take it in as is....Just so you know my experiences with dealing w/ Sprint w/ a rooted Evo, they didn't give an eff whether it was rooted or not....I've gotten 2 replacements and had my Evo repaired, all w/o unrooting and it was fine.

You don't have to go that route and do what I did, I'm just giving you my experiences.

If you can't get it unrooted, call the local sprint store and tell them what is happening and that the phone is rooted. Don't give them any personal info. If they say they can take care of it, you should be good to go.

Good thinking. I wish it was easier though. Every time I plug in my phone to the computer it says that it isn't recognized :(

i would try and download the files directly from your phone. they should be found in the download folder. use a file manger app to move the to the root of your sd card.
