Root How do I update a rooted DINC?

I rooted my Droid Incredible and I've been seeing this screen for weeks. Update doesn't work -- just stops in the middle of the restart. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

I wouldn't update it if I were you. There's nothing of value in it IMO. If you REALLY want the update, you can do the newest RUU that has the OTA contents included in it. If you decide not to load it but want to get rid of the OTA nag, there are ways to do that also. Search the Root forum for info if interested or repost and I can find a link.
 
Thanks -- that's super useful. I think I'd prefer to get rid of the notification. It forces me to ignore every time I look at the phone. I'd appreciate if you could help me figure that out. A link would be great.

You can turn off the ability to receive OTA's.
Using RE go into: system\etc\security and change otacerts.zip to otacerts.zip.bak
