How do you adjust the mic input level?

Does anyone know how you adjust the mic sensitivity on HTC EVO?

In what context? Are you revering to in call....voice search?

Yes, actually using Vlingo and need the microphone to pick up better. If I talk directly in the phone it works fine. If the phone is approximately 3 feet away from me and I'm not traveling down the road, the mic picks up well. However at highway speeds it does not. My blackberry was MUCH better and did well at highway speeds.

It would have to be done in an app itself, there is no adjustment that can be made from the android settings.

the only thing i have found you can adjust in the android settings is the voice recognition for voice commands. no mic input level

someone chime in that has used that audio manager app...does it give any control over mic input level?

Unfortunately, the Audio Manager has no functionality to adjust mic sensitity. I did find an application called gStrings that actually does adjust the mic in their app.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions! You would think that Sprint or Android would have this covered.
