I think your referring to letting the battery charge and then letting the battery completely discharge before recharging. I've seen something explaining how to do that within the forums. If you search you will find it.

Unlike old NiCad cells, this is not applicable to LiPo batteries. In fact, lithium batteries don't really like being completely drained

For LiPo that's true. I did a senior design project in college where we had to maximize the flight time of a R/C airplane using solar/battery power. Lithium Ion however, might behave differently.
