Root How do you know

Like all of us here, I rooted and flashed a Rom. I did disable gwallet, but I want to know, being that you can not log into the darn thing, how would you know if you broke it? Is there some way to see if it is?

If you never put your card info in there it didn't break. If you did before doing the factory reset (without clearing wallet) there's a good chance your secure element is borked.

I cleared Wallet before rooting, rooted, did an immediate nandroid, then went right in to my original stock rom. Wallet let me set it up just fine - that was all on June 8th.

This past weekend, I tried to resurrect Wallet on my new rom - no workee.

I went back to my stock original, it started to take me in as far as my account setup, and I got the "Not supported on carrier or country" bug that's on Google/Sprint/whatever side.

But it didn't give me a secure element error, so I know I'm ok.

I did set it up when I first got the device. Now google took it down I went to settings-apps-force close-cleardata-uninstall updates, then wiped and flashed. Fused I may have broke it but no way to tell for sure infill google gets it back up.

I was wondering about this (for if wallet ever works again). If you have a nandroid or data backed up with titanium backup, shouldn't the nfc key that the secure element in the chip is looking for be restored? sort of like backing up your wimax keys, yes?

Maybe, hope so.
