How Do You Like Your Incredible?

I'm an Eris user.. or was. I accidentally got my phone wet. It's a long story and I don't want to get into it. I have tried everything possible from drying it out to testing a new battery and it won't work. I have no insurance on the phone. I just couldn't do the extra monthly fee at the time.
So, I'm going to have to get another android phone down the road. I'm using my old Env2 now.
I've played with the Incredible when it came out and really liked it. What are your thoughts on it?

No doubt about it. It's a great phone. There are some call issues, but Htc said they were coming out with a rom update and rumor has it it's coming out soon. Beyond that, next month, the Motorola X is coming out, if you are interested in a larger phone with a large screen and an additional front facing camera. Lots of choices. Good luck.

I think if I were in your shoes and I could stick it out until the Droid X comes out I would, just to see if I liked it and do a side by side comparison with the Incredible.

That being said... I love this phone. The speed and display are simply unreal. And the additional stuff (and speed) that's coming with 2.2 will really make an already exceptional phone even better.

I like the phone but it does have its quirks. Im interested in the Droid X based upon its looks. If the build quality is better I may jump ship. But that is a big if.

On another note, I dropped my Inc today (twas naked and in the Nexus One Sleeve). No damage! Thank God!

I see myself being happy with this phone for a very long time. Until then, I will not be paying attention to any new phones coming out. This does everything I want and need at the pace I want.

I love mine. It's my first smart phone. It's too much fun and I have problems with putting it down.

I know I'll take a beating, but I'm not real happy with my Incredible after two weeks. I'm coming from a Storm 1, which is better for messaging and e-mailing, IMO. Call sound quality is also disappointing. I just find the Blackberry to be better integrated with its programs. I also miss the sound profiles.

Everything about it is amazing, I don't want to put it down. I can see myself happy with this phone for the next 2 years, and I get bored very easily.

The Droid Two is coming in August. If you'd want a keyboard phone, you might want to wait till that comes out. If not, your choices are the the Incredible or the Moto X (well, there is the Devour and Ally, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone but they might be your cup of tea). I would recommend that unless you really want, or think you want a Moto X that you should order the Incredible. By the time your DrINC comes in, the X will either be out, or just a week or two away. If you like the Moto X, you can exchange it. And if you want the Incredible, you have no idea how long the wait might be by then.

For what it's worth, I am exceedingly happy with my Incredible. I would recommend one to just about anyone. But the Moto should also be a great phone.

I agree completely. I won't even bother looking at other phones because it would be a waste of my time. I am not giving up my Incredible.

i like my Incredible with fava beans and a nice bottle of chiante... wait what?!?!?!?

It is a great phone, will not dissappoint. That being said if you want a bigger screen and are locked into VZW wait to try the Droid X, it's a bit too big for my tastes but it may suit you...

transition to the incredible for you would be seamless, sense you have a sense enabled android phone. I love the incredible and have no regrets. I had a earpiece sound quality problem and verizon sent me a replacement which works perfectly. If you like sense get the incredible. It does everything the Eris does but does fast and efficient (not laggy, like the Eris). Good luck.

Love mine. Coming from a Blackberry Storm 1 and I have no regrets. Since I use Google apps for everything (calendar, email, contact), it is a natural fit. Push email works almost as fast as by Blackberry. Thought I'd miss the physical screen "click", but I don't. This phone keeps actually keeps up with me...not that I am crazy fast. And the Profiles app fills the gap left by my Storms sound profile feature.

I love mine. Two things I don't like are the placement of the on/off button and the volume button. Why? because when I get a call, and reach for my DInc in my holster, I hit the on/off button and lose the call. Or I end up with very low sound volume because I hit that button by mistake too. Wish the on/off button was located where the optical scroll button is. Actually, the optical scroll button could do everything, including using it to change volume. Otherwise, love it.

I was an Eris owner , and the diffrence is incredible haha
The DI is an amazing piece of technology, it does just about everything better then the Eris. Plus if your battery wasn't damaged you already have a spare

The only plus I give the eris , is the TrackBall over the Joystick. I loved the trackball especially using PhoneMyPC alot. The joystick blows for this, but works decent for email and text editing .

You won't regret getting the DI but if you want the latest and greatest the DroidX will be out next month and it is slightly more impressive then the Incredible IMO. But coming from an Eris I'd go with the Incredible as the DroidX is a frickin Beast in size . The DI is a nice median
