Help How do you make Gmail default mail app in Contacts context menu?

Hello
Just purchased a Stratosphere

I'm trying to figure out a way to put the Gmail app into the context menu of contacts to replace than the default email app, which I'd rather not use.
I have not rooted this phone.

Any ideas?

When you go to send an e-mail from the contact (view the contact, scroll down to an e-mail address & depress it), you should be given the choice to e-mail via the default app or via Gmail. First check off the "make this the default action" below the two mail selections and then choose Gmail.

That should make Gmail your default whenever e-mailing from within a contact now.

Is there a menu or something someplace that lets you change your "default applications" for things like that? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
