How does N64oid run on the Evo3D?

Just wondering if there is a substantial improvement on the graphical capabilities of the phone compared to the evo.

Here is a link to the app for free.

N64oid | SlideME

You familiar with quadrant? Check out the huge boost in FPS on all the graphical benchmarks. Makes the Evo look like a TRS-80.

Also, where the Evo used to cause Plants vs. Zombies to stutter, the 3VO renders it smoothly. Definitely noticing the power. And roughly the same power draw I'm used to. Feels like a free lunch to me!

ok i have n64oid 2.0 and i am playing ocarina of time but the game stutters a bit. does anyone play that same game? if so how is your experience?

I would like to try it, but Which link do I use? Couldn't find it in the market either.

** And how do I install it if it isn't an APK?

I just went to google and searches it on there and find it. To install out as an apk just download a file manager of done kind (i use astro) put the apk on you memory card find it with your file manager click it and select app browser (i think that s the option) and then click install easy as that. Mine just stutters a but and trying to see how other peoples phones are playing it

Where do you get Plants vs Zombies for the EVO or EVO 3D?

Well i've got the emulator now, but it's asking for roms? What do I do for roms?

The emulator was pulled from the Market because the roms themselves violate copyrights.

Because of that, we're constrained from allowing posts with rom download details.

Sorry, but that's the way it has to be.

I have a feeling it is probably the emulator app itself and not the hardware that is the limitation. I remember the developer took it down originally because of the complaints on the performance. ;)

He was going to put it back up after he addressed the performance issues, but then all of the "oid" emulator apps were removed from the Android Market. Overall, despite the slight stuttering, the app is still quite good considering you are playing a Nintendo 64 in the palm of your hand. :D

Ya, it's the app/software, not the devices hardware. Someone on XDA said they contacted Yonghz and said that it is not coded to use the dual cores to their full potential. It may run better on the Atrix or other Tegra devices, but that's because he's been working with those since january. keep in mind our device has only been around for about two weeks, so there are alot of things that won't work, some longer than others (Unity3D...:().

Yeah thats kind of what I figured but just wanted to check and see if anyone with a 3d had the same thing going on. Still love playing my old 64 games on my freakin phone so its not a huge issue.

Hey guys, for me everything is pretty laggy/stutter-y, is there any easy solution to this? I know most people on here are anti-taskkiller but if I clean it out before opening n64oid will that help any?

I tried Mario Kart and Mario Golf and for both it stutters pretty bad
