How fragile is the EPIC's screen/display/overall construction?

With all these horror stories of people dropping their EVOs, iPhone 4s, and Droids and ending up with shattered screens. I was just wondering how is the design on the EPIC. Does it also have a glass screen?
 
Aside from the iphone it should be just as solidly built as any other phone on the market, none of the reviews so far have said it was poorly built. However it's inevitable if you have a phone with a large screen (like all the ones you mentioned) that dropping it without some sort of case will very likely damage the screen, all that surface area is exposed to whatever it happens to land on.
 
Being that pretty much all capacitive screens(other then the palm pre) are glass its kinda expected just be careful plus i prefer glass screens since plastic ones scratch easily.
 
actually all SGS phones have gorilla glass, so its a lot more scratch resistant than other phones.
