Root How long will it be out before?

Guys,

Hey, just wanted to drop a quick note that I've seeded this all-things-root sub-forum with a standard root guide (http://androidforums.com/rezound-all-things-root/446705-htc-rezound-all-things-root-guide.html) and linked Johnamerica's rooting thread in it.

If you have other things that you think need to be included, drop me (scary alien) or trophynuts or El Presidente (or any Guide for that matter) a PM to let us know what you want updated.

We obviously need your help to keep its contents up-to-date and containing all of the best and most useful information, so let us know!

^^^ I hope you are right. The RAZR already has full root I believe. I am on the fence between these two phones the way it is, so having full root is a big plus for the RAZR. I'm sure we will get it soon enough for the Rezound, but until it's been done we are only guessing.

Whoooooooooooooo slow your horses there good sir the RAZR does not and will not (ever more then likely) have full root ... Full root allows the flashing of custom roms AND kernels which is a no go on ANY Motorola phone

Now I can say that this will be rooted very soon if not now and the full root with s off hopefully from alpharev x will follow ... Hope that shead some lite on that good sir

I think maybe our definitions of root may be different. I consider full root to be allowed SU access. I do not consider root to have boot loader unlocked. In any case, I am waiting for perm root that sticks (as I consider this full root) likely before I buy. The RAZR does have perm root as of now FWIW. Neither phone has bl unlock however, and who knows if they ever will. I would say there more chance the Rezound gets dev bl unlock than the RAZR however. Moto locks their phones down hard for VZ unfortunately.

Well root Is su permissions and full root is su, ndroid, and unlocked boot loader

As root goes yes they both are rooted and don't forget www.htcdev.com [\url] is official ...community has come out with a software unlock
 
once again im not impressed by the user base of this phone, i don't think it sold very well. the nexus has stole all the thunder and i have no clue why?

Because it's a nexus which always has that cult following. The amount of internet hype for that phone faaaar outweighs the goodness of the phone itself IMHO. No SD, and several other things I find lacking. But being the first phone with ICS is also a major reason. Also, the Rezound wasn't advertised or promoted. Kind of an under the radar phone. I'm sure devs will be on the phone with the display being the first true HD of any phone available. But not like they will for the Gnex obviously.

I completely agree with you and i Am on here Having not even bought the phone but myself is waiting for the g nex

And as for a full lunlock as of last night from what I saw with the new inc2 that vzw sent me a it maybe near impossible to crack the boot loader as I cant do it myself on the new software version and if the resound and inc2 have the same coding development for this phone is going to take a while to even get unlocked :(
