how many people have perfectly functioning EVO V's?

I have had my Evo V since last Thursday, and it has been functioning about....96% error free?
Not without its quirks though.
For reference, i ordered mine from VM, and it is one of the sprint branded evo's.
The only issues i have had was that on the first and second days it rebooted randomly a couple times, i have had the radio interface resource shortage error about once a day when my signal strength is zero bars, with the exception of yesterday and today, and i have the annoying voicemail notification problem.

But these errors and bugs seem extremely miniscule compared to the problems i experienced with my Triumph.

I everyone who is experiencing more severe difficulties gets them worked out, because when this phone is working well, its an absolute beast.

This handset reminds me of the movie aliens where the robot tells Ripplie that the thing she is going up against is absolutely perfect in explaining the evo v.. Thing is just scary sweet..

Mine seems to be working fine so fast although I haven't activated it yet so there might be a few problems there but overall it is a great phone.

Mine is working perfectly fine. The only problem that I run into is virgin mobile related and not the phone. My voicemail doesn't even work, the phone rings but stops and gets a busy signal instead of voice mail.

Edit: just realized another problem I have....I can't seem to put my phone down!

My phone/VM was being weird last night and not letting me go to my voicemail. It would just say "Dialing" and never actually dial my Voicemail. Did a reboot, all was fixed.
Kind of weird. Oh well. Still better then my Samsung Intercept :o

I get the occasional strange activity, the SMS error message, this morning the phone had no service when I attempted to call out with it, rebooted and now it's fine.

Overall, this was a massive upgrade from the Optimus, very happy so far.

I've had no issues. If you get errors while changing from the old rate to the new one then call virgin. They got me activated no issue, though they tried to charge me $10 to swap phones. They did it for free though. Hasn't had any service issues yet. Once I get home I can use 4g.

i grabbed the only EVO V available in my county, bestbuy was backordered, from my local radio shack...
(it was still in an unopened packing box in their backroom, they were unaware they even had it, until i told them the RS website said they did).

had some activation issues as well here, coming from my LG OV(thanks again Jerryscript for a year of IHO goodness).
they ended up refunding my $25 charge from this month, and giving me the new month for FREE(all without me bitching about it!!!).

rooted it right away(courtesy of the instructions on this forum), and i am an extremely happy camper!
this phone kicks so much ass!
no issues so far(although voicemail icon comes back even after all vm's have been deleted...i can live with that for now).
have installed link2sd and system app remover to clear out junk apps and save space.
looking forward to trying some of leslieann's lean roms next (:

great phone, soooo much nicer than my poor old LG Optimus V.
(taps is playing in the background, LOL)

Well day 10 and The operator has failed not the handset.. Lol couldn't find contacts on here..
It's way different.. Factory reset it out of boredom a couple days ago.. I'm good to go and not going to root for the things I need are on here.. Is great after you crash and burn a few setups and get it figured out..

Had no voice mail at all for two days, Vm had it fixed 24 hours later. Still have vm voice mail notification issue but the sprint visual voice mail works great.

Switched accounts with my sister because I was on the $25 plan and she was on the $35 plan. Now, I have the Evo at $35/mo. She is still using the Triumph at $25/mo.

Swapping phone from Triump to Evo: Initially got error 131. Rebooted phone, and it went through the System update and was running pretty quickly after that. Overall, took about 20 minutes.

Swapping phone from 1 Triumph to another Triumph: Kept getting activation error "06-07-XXXX", had to make 3 calls to VM to resolve. Finally, I think the guy did "something" or maybe because I left my Triumph on wifi (no VM service but it still sees the VM towers) and suddenly the phone activated. Overall, took about 1 hour.

I had some annoying troubles switching from OV to the EVO V. With 3 calls to the customer support, my voicemail finally worked after VM reset it and so did the internet which was intermittent before it was reset. Now it's smooth sailling. It's worth noting this handset has a slightly less powerful radio and handles very low signal conditions worse than the OV.

Going from the Intercept to the Triumph was a monumental upgrade, moving up to the Evo was obviously not as earth shattering but finally having a phone that performs as it should out of the box is so sweet. I had to root and rom the Triumph within 15 minutes just to make it usable. With the Evo it has been well behaved in every respect. Definitely the best phone that I have ever owned.

One problem I was having was that I couldn't send texts. Now after a battery pull, I can. My Wifi is still disconnecting during the wee hours of the night for some strange reason. Not really a huge issue for me, but I hope that it's resolved at some point.

Now, the issue that's driving me spare is the LOUD obnoxious camera noises. Oy. I've contacted HTC about that, but haven't gotten a response yet. I know there's a way to make it silent by rooting. But I don't want to root.

I'm new to Sense, so that's a bit of a curve to me, but I came from a triumph and so far, I don't know why people are saying the touchscreen is bad, I can pinch, rotate and use touchscreen input for up to four fingers!

GPS gets a lock to 40 meters at an instant indoors, it's running the latest and the tastiest Android 4, has a dual core CPU, Wifi and Bluetooth can be run at the same time, and so fourth. Such a milestone from the Triumph, that's for sure!

Good thing I heard about the activation issues, I had bought my phone from Radioshack and before I walked in, I powered off my Triumph before going into the store, and had the guy activate it and turned on the new phone later.

Also, an Otterbox case goes nicely with it, I must say.

So far I can get 7 hours of frequent use on the battery life. Haven't tested 4G yet.

Hope this helps for those of you wanting to buy one!
