how much can be undone by flashing stock rom / kernel?

I have root, first thing i did was make a backup using CWM, and i backup my apps using titanium, i have also backed up my efs folder. do i need anything else?

I have also downloaded the stock firmware and kernel from Intratech's thread on XDA, how much will this undo? for example, I am tempted to try out siyah kernel along with checkrom v4. To use Siyah effectively i see you need to change voltages, if i decide to revert back to stock, do i have to change these values back, or will flashing stock kernel change them back for me?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, it seems the deeper i look at things, the more there is to consider if i ever just want to remove everything and go back to stock.

Flashing back to a stock, or any other, kernel will revert you back to that kernel's default voltages... providing you have disabled Voltage Control, first.

For more information on flashing Siyah, see here:-

Similarly, flashing back to the stock ROM, will give you it's defaults.

For more information on flashing CheckROM, see here:-

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the information :D is it worth flashing checkrom v4, or should i hold out for v6?

if i flash a new modem, how would i undo that, or does it not matter?

oh, so voltage control is an app. So i assume if voltage control is turned off, there are default voltages inside the kernel itself, that are used? and the changes made are only in place if the app is enabled?

I was worried about it changing some hidden file somewhere that i would never find again, oops :o

It's up to you. CheckROM v4 is a tried and tested, reliable, ROM and it is a simple process to flash v6 at a later date.

To, "undo", the modem you just flash another modem. In testing one this morning I've done it 3 or 4 times in about 30 minutes. Very simple to do.
