Help How to back space in text?

First of all, thank goodness for this forum. It's helped me so much.

Next Question:

I cannot figure out how to back space when sending a text. For example, if I typed "I will see you tonight around 8 PM", but then I want to go back and insert "tomorrow" in front of "tonight". Is there not any arrow buttons to go back to the front of "tonight"? My fingers are too big to try and do it my finger touch.

All I have been able to do is back space/delete everything to go back.
 
Love to know if you find out. I had a little trackball on my Incredible that did that, I miss that feature on this phone.
 
All CM7(Gingerbread)ROM's have the scrollable arrow to make precise insertion of the blinking vertical bar(I hate getting older, what's it called). You could check on the market for a gingerbread keyboard and see if that has it.
 
If you're using Swype, you can swipe from the Swype key to the SYM key, and arrow keys pop up. Kind of a pain, I usually use the "try to place the vertical bar" method.
 
If you don't like Swipe, my suggestion is to download either Smart kеyЬoard or multilingual keyЬoard. Both of these keyЬoards comes with cursor arrows.
 
I don't use SWIPE, fyi. Not a fan.

If I download the Smart Keyboard you reference, will it interfere with the predective texting system? What I'm talking about is the toolbar that shows "tomorrow" after I've only typed "tom".

Smart kеyЬoard comes with its own dictionary/predictive text. So it doesn't interefere with your stock android keyЬoard. If u don't liке it u can always uninstall it and try another keyЬoard from the marкеt. But I Ьеt you'll find Smart keyЬoard fun to use and a whole lot Ьеtter than the stock keyЬoard :)
