Root How to?: boot animation

I installed the Cm7 G60 style rom a while back, and it changed my phones motorola boot screen change to the g60 one.

how does one either remove the boot animation completely, or reset it to default and or nothing?

thanks

Both things are in download mode, like when you put cwm recovery on ur phone

The solid non animation is the Splash image

The animated part is bootanimation.zip ( have seen it but never messed with it, I believe you can find flashable boot animation files which would probly be easiest)

Im pretty sure you cannot completely remove them, pretty sure the phone wont boot if u do

Both the original splash and boot animations can be found on this forum somewhere, there are 2 threads for custom splash and animations, I believe one of them has the original ones ur looking for

The splash.img (which on stock is the motorola logo) is in download mode. The bootanimation is not, so don't try to put one there.

To fix it you just have to find the stock splash.img. I think there is a link in the All Things Root guide with links to a splash.img thread. Try checking that out. ;)

Thanks guys, maybe ill play around with PhotoShop now that i know how its done ha.

The boot animation is in /system/media called bootanimation.zip
If you don't want to see it, (from a home screen) (menu)-- settings-- cyanogenmod settings-- Performance settings-- disable boot animation.
If you want boot sound see the attached and un zip it.

I'll do it later
