Yea I keep meaning to do a guide for building CM* but never get around to it lol.

How I do it is basically how the CM guide has it. ;)

Never amazes me how many ways this can be done lol.

Not how I do it, but doesnt mean its wrong ;)

ya i was using the way i have built ics for the sgs2.. Sence its how i know how to do it..... BUt like u said theres no right or wrong way theres very diffrent ways :P Thanks for poping in!!!!

still need to finish the guide get my repo up and then let u all have fun with it..

Still getting errors when tryng to connect to website aka Forbidden errors eh must be a comcast issue.

Well the only problem with doing it with wubi is disk i/o may be a bit slower and I think there is a limit on the max size of the squashfs it uses. It's sort of like a bigger livecd.

Here's what i do.

1. Make sure I have my spare sdcard in my phone:P
2. Mount it and use Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux to make it bootable.
3. Restart phone into recovery and mount usb storage(so it doesn't unmount when computer restarts)
4. Boot from usb device
5. ????
6. Profit.

Because doing it via usb is way more efficient than way wasting cd's I don't have.
usb is fine for a install media, a fix it media, etc, other than that its useless. ;) lol

Compiling CM9 takes alot of resources, esp if you dont want to be waiting for hours lol

Yes I mean using usb as the install method of course. I can't really imagine why anyone would compile anything running on a live image from an scard.

Since I never have any blank cd's I assumed he was using wubi for the same reason I did before I got my phone. Sorry about that.
