I have ctmod 3.68 and i love it more than any rom but all i want to have on it is a white status bar!! (or lighter color)...ive tried lots of things but cant get it to work anybody have any pointers? I'd Really appreciate it been doing this for months with no luck

hey thanks man i have used it but the status bar color never seems to stick after i flash my zip somethings work but never get the status bar color to change....i will look on youtube and see if i can find any info...i got my sd card partitioned is that why it isnt working?

The partition has nothing to do with it. That partition only holds /data... The files you are changing are in /system.

Two completely separate partitions

Ok Thank You...But when I use uot kitchen i can get the battery and alot of other things to change but the status bar is alway black even when i try to change it white...i believe im doing everything right uploading the framework and systemui app from ctmod 3.68 but cant figure it out grrrr its bothering me lol thanks for any help

ps....looking for a white/orange theme look lol

I honestly don't know what you're doing wrong. It can be done with UOT. As a matter of fact, 1 or 2 of the older themes for ctmod have the status at color change. I think the sunshine theme that Slayer did and the purple one the Dais did have it colored in.

I've done it several times too. Tried white but didn't like it that we.

I can get most everything to change but the taskbar color and task bar icons....except the battery one does change...but i dont know not a big deal the phone is running smooth atleast

This was done with UOT Kitchen.

Yes, you upload the framework-res.akp and SystemUI.apk.
Try wiping the Dalvik cache and Cache before flashing. That may help. :)

This is a theme by Slayer that was made some time ago. It's in the rooted section. There is also another Grape theme made by DaisFlaques in here too that has the status bar colored in. If you want either of the themes, just look back a ways and you'll find them. ;)

I've had this problem before.
Its best if he uses bloods apkinstaller.zip (insert link here)
When i was doing it. It wasn't fully changing the syatemUI or framework.
All you'll have to do is copy "system folder" inside the zip folder and transfer it to apk installer.zip

Right on. That may very well be the case for him. AS you and I both know..... each of these phones has a mind of it's own and what works well on 1 doesn't mean it will work on the other. LOL :p:D

Well they are special little ladies. You just gotta press their right buttons. And sweet talk them.

Can someone please upload and give me a link to just the framework-res.apk and systemui.apk for CTMod 3.68?? I'm on Boost's 3G data connection and it would take too long to DL the whole ROM, thanks so much to whoever is gracious enough to do it...

Themes for older versions will not work with this.
There will be a delay the first time you open CT settings and Partition settings (partition settings will stay black for a min or 2) for granting SU to them, after that they will be ok.

This will be the last version I release for CTMod. I started this project on October 18, 2011 trying to make the lightest, fastest, most stable ROM I could and I think it is now at the point where I can call it complete.

Thank you to kouma, hroark, everyone who has donated, helped test and left feedback, this wouldn't be where it is today without you guys.

Enjoy guys.

LOLOLOLOLOL

now THATS timing

Hey if all you want is to change the sysui top bar color just open the apk as an archive (NEVER un-zip! It ruins the signing.) the SystemUI.apk and look for res/ drawable mdpi/ pulldown menu. this should be the one. Can any one correct me if I am wrong? Than copy the image and edit it, make sure you don't mess with the size in pixcles, just color. than past back to overwrite.
AANNNNDDD Blam! no uploading or figuiring stuff out you'll probly never use.
