Root How to determine your screen

Busybox is handy for a lot of things that we take for granted. Even though you don't really need to determine your screen version (the ROM's in the ATR Guide sticky ^ are clearly marked by: 2.2.1 for Novatek screen and 2.2.2 for the Hitachi screen) Busybox will be needed at some point in time.

I think my mobile is a lost case. I tried rooting it at least 12 times and it's not working. I factory reseted it to have nothing on the phone but that didnt make the trick eather. Why does it work sometimes and for the most part not? What makes the difference if I dont change the phone during the time at at all? It's kinda frustrating but I thank you guys a lot for your efforts. I dont know how long I can keep doing that. Is there a methode that garanties more success?

Try the ZV9 update Guide found in the All Things Root guide sticky ^. It will reset everything back to stock (no Superuser or Busybox apps) and wipe all user data. I assume you have already backed up all your data so that shouldn't be a problem. This Guide is very good for getting V's that don't seem to be able to gain root access to do so.

So after updating it to ZV9 I'll have to try Gingerbreak again, right? I didnt do a backup yet because I have nothing to back up at the moment or do I miss the point here?

No. If you follow the ZV9 update guide you will see that you will have to use a different exploit to gain root access.
It's all laid out in the ZV9 update Guide by Petrah, which is in the All Things Root Guide sticky. Update, root, custom recovery and nandroid backup.
