Root How to gain app compatibility?

BackHandLegend

Hello guys, while I don't own this phone I would like to know if there are any ways to download any app from the play store. Most apps he tries to download are "incompatible" however I'm sure the snapdragon processor should handle it.

Also, is there any kernal that allows overclocking without doing collateral damage?

He's running stock rom, rooted, and no custom recovery.

Please help.

Giving some examples of the incompatible apps would help, but in general thunderprop will make your phone appear to be an HTC Thunderbolt, giving you access to more games and stuff, by making changes to build.prop

Umph kernel works fine to overclock on stock ROM, but be aware that anytime you overclock there is always the possibility of "collateral damage". Just be sensible about it.

Thank you very much for your help :D

So I just replace the build.prop files right?
And as for the kernel, Without overclocking does the kernel break anything? As for installing it do I just flash it?

The kernel just has an expanded clock table and a boot default. There are other kernels that have way more features, but for a freind, I would stick with a simple one and let him do his own research.
