Help How to get back touchwiz?

He isn't using stock firmware on KitKat just cm11

Yup, I don't like it that much it's a bit too meh for me...

dont downgrad im almost 100% certain that will cause brick seeing how your on 4.3

Technically my phone is 4.4.2 (with cyanogenmod) but I want to get rid of cyanogenmod and unroot it so I can do the OTA touchwiz version of kitkat.

Did you watch the video I posted you don't unpack the zips BTW,

You don't? Okay good... but if I do what is in this video, can I do OTA updates?

It will be able to receive them since it makes you device complete stock

Okay I'll try your written article on it and if I get stuck I'll check the video. :) How to Flash Official Firmware for Samsung Galaxy [Odin] - W0lfDroid
Are you sure that this will get rid of Cyanogenmod 11? And what about my rooting? Will it get rid of that too?

You posted a comment saying that Samsung blocked downgrading from 4.3... is that true?

Me and another guy are having a discussion about that. I don't own a Samsung device but I think lack of downgrade is due to boot loader stuff, someone else posted the physical guides I posted the how to use Odin video, also yes it will make it stock if you flash the ROM you got from Samsung.. It will also get rid of root and CM11 the only thing it won't get rid of is the flash counter being tripped

What flash counter? Like I said before, I tried downloading one from samsung mobile and it said "cancelled" I tried again same thing...

I would use samsung updates but that makes it 4.1.1 which could cause it to brick! :|

Oh, and when you say "Stock" do you mean stock android or do you mean touchwiz?

Stock touchwiz , flash counter doesn't really mean anything to you . and is your s3 at t variant?

No, it's Bell but they both have the same model number (SGH-i747) so I don't really think it matters that much, in fact when I downloaded Cyanogenmod it detected it as a canadian/AT&T variant since they, again, have the same model number.

I'm baffled the OP manage to root and install a custom ROM without knowing what Odin is etc, I had to read a ton of stuff and get my head round it. I certainly didn't just wing it lol!

(Not trying to be funny there, genuinely puzzled)

Follow the advice here and like Funky said, read, read, read. If you aren't confident then read some more.

I'm with you....flashing a stock ROM is easier than the original root process!!

I'm getting confused trying to follow the thread!!

Hi, I think the Op is getting confused, androidlover9, do not worry about removing the root program. When you flash the official Samsung 4.3 firmware it will remove your root for you. It is similar to formatting a computer hard disc and installing a new operating system. If you are on Bell this is the firmware you need Firmwares | SamMobile | Page 3 , the site is having problems at the moment with very slow download speeds, so be prepared for it take some time. Phil

Because you took the official 4.3 ota, you can't flash anything below 4.3 now.
Flashing stock 4.3.is fine

Flash 4.3, got it.

I just installed cyanogen mod and now we're here

How do you think I feel? :$

One problem... My phone is NOT the black edition, nor is the model number "SGH-I747M" mine is SGH-i747, idk if it will matter or not...

As there is no Stock firmware above 4.1.1 for that model you should not have had 4.3 on it previously. As you did it must be the Bell firmware, your choice, leave as it is, or flash the Bell 4.3, but you cannot go back to 4.1.1. If you have a Bell store handy why not go and ask their advice, they won't shoot you (well hopefully not!) Phil

Well, how do I flash the bell 4.3? I don't care if I can't downgrade lower than that, I just want a working phone that is clean that can do official samsung OTA updates without any bugs.

EDIT!!!!!!

I found an official Android 4.3 Firmware! http://www.androidlegend.com/update-att-galaxy-s3-sgh-i747-to-leaked-official-android-4-3-firmware/

Is there an app I can download on the playstore to store everything on my phone so I don't lose anything?

Leaked isn't official you probably won't get otas....if you ever find a firmware use mobile Odin it should work

What does Odin do? And if I do download it, should I download the latest version of it?

If I ever do find an official firmware for 4.3 SGH-i747, does it matter if it says AT & T or no? Mine is Bell but they both have the same model number so I doubt it matters, where can I find an official firmware for it?

Oh, and if I install Odin should I install the latest version it says on the website?

There is a Mobil version in the play market place

Mobile version of Odin? But wouldn't it be easier if I just do it through the computer cause then I can follow your guide? And I still don't have a file... I wish I could download the one on sammobile that is 4.1.1 but noo stupid samsung makes it so it'll get bricked if it's on 4.3! Well, thanks to them I have a phone that can't even be back to the way it was before!

Are you absolutely sure you were on 4.3 before you installed cyanogen? If so, the file should be on sammobile.
If you weren't on 4.3 you can use 4.1.
People are trying to help but remember it's not their or Samsung's fault you put cyanogen on without knowing what you were getting into.
What we need is someone who knows about Boost to tell us what firmware you would have been on before you flashed cyanogen.
I don't even live in North America so I have no idea lol :D

I am 10000000000000000% sure I was on 4.3 before I downloaded Cyanogenmod 11 :D

Well I heard that if I download a file that isn't 4.3 my phone will get bricked :/ and on sammobile there isn't a file for SGH-i747 that is 4.3, but there is one for SGH-i747M, but I don't want to risk that...

I feel like everyone on here is ignoring half my questions...

Trust me I am the meanest guy in this thread and I am trying my hardest, sammobile is down...:sad face: that makes it harder to get what you want. We are sorry about that. But still I am confident we can get through this and get your device on the up and up. That being said, I would say yes to the computer client but don't know how to use it at all (I soft bricked a samsung blaze today) I say Mobil because you are already rooted and it cuts out of the computer stuff, also thanks for reading the guides.

Mean? You all seem pretty nice actually :D

I didn't really read them, I looked through all of them and thought "hey I can use this!" which I will do, if I ever happen to find an official firmware file for my model that is 4.3...

What do you mean the website is down? It's working for me.

And if you don't know how to use the computer client, then how did you manage to make a video on it and a how to guide on a website?

And I don't trust myself doing something without knowing what I am doing, which is why I am gonna try it with the computer, or something...
