Help How to get back touchwiz?

Mean? You all seem pretty nice actually :D

I didn't really read them, I looked through all of them and thought "hey I can use this!" which I will do, if I ever happen to find an official firmware file for my model that is 4.3...

What do you mean the website is down? It's working for me.

And if you don't know how to use the computer client, then how did you manage to make a video on it and a how to guide on a website?

And I don't trust myself doing something without knowing what I am doing, which is why I am gonna try it with the computer, or something...

Lol wasn't made by me at all made by other people to help us all reach the goal of...power user

:dizzy: I am ;)
I think I need the "CliffNotes" version of this whole thread.
Thanks to all for the amazing help you are giving to androidlover9  you guys kickass;)

Curious, as to what state of affairs your device is in?
What recovery do you have?
You are currently on CM 11?
You are looking to get touchwiz back via a stock rom flash or unroot?
You have access to a windows computer?
You are on the SCH-I747 with Bell as your carrier in Canada?

Sorry for all the questions :o

Sorry for all the questions :o

1. It's working right now, I haven't installed anything or tried anything crazy, still with CM 11.
2. Recovery? Do you mean the recovery mode? I went in there to see what it looked like (didn't do anything whilst I was in there) I can only assume it was the CM recovery screen
3. Yes, I haven't done anything to my phone since then 'cause I am still not sure what to do... (well, I had the option to try ART which was cool, but I switched back to dalvick, it's a feature in cyanogenmod)
4. Yes, I had 4.3 before I installed CM, I want to go back to the official one so I can do the OTA update once it releases, well I was told on here that once I remove CM, it will get unrooted as well? Well my main goal is to get rid of CM and go back to touch wiz :)
5. Yup, windows 8.1 :P
6. You wrote SCH-i747, it's actually SGH-i747, but other than that yup! :) Bell and in Canada.

Helium back up since it doesn't require root so when you go back its all back

Okay right now it is backing up everything, after I do a factory reset sometime in the future, and I download the app, I sync it with my google account etc, I can restore it that way, correct? :D

If so, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(one of the things I didn't select for it to backup, was the home menu for CM, don't really care for it...)

Oh, and I saved it drive, but before that it said it was helium premium feature? I said okay to it anyways, was it something I was supposed to pay for? O.o

I drawed a lot of attention to this thread, I didn't think it would be this much of a hassle O.o lol :P but really, thank you all for the help!!!!!!

My personal opinion? And I don't mean to sound blunt here at all ;) --- Skip trying to unroot and flash a stock-ish type, touchwiz based rom.
But...
A--you cannot get into recovery? (pull battery..wait a few seconds...reinsert battery, then hold down home/volume up then power--all 3 are now held down) (That's where you flash custom roms)
B. you wish to go back to stock to get the updates (OTA updates)
I'm not familiar with Bell (AT&T variant I believe) and how many more updates they will receive.

If "A"--then we need to find a custom TW based/stock rom (for your device and carrier) and flash it via recovery.

If "B"---then as others have said, find the latest firmware and install it via ODIN.

I am totally unfamiliar with Mobile ODIN, so I'm not much help there.

Okay, fine I don't care about unrooting it since that it sounds like too much work.

Yes I can get into recovery, I just need a firmware for my model that is 4.3 but I can't find one :/

I don't want something that is "stock-ish" I want it to be JUST like it would be on a regular old S3 you would see in a store/when it was out of the box.

No worries, unrooting is actually pretty simple:)
Find the stock firmware and flash via ODIN.

I see, as others have commented, that the Sammobile site is having issues. :(
Did you say you found the firmware for your device?

I'm sorry for sounding daft, but I've got 6 irons in the fire atm ;)

I did, but none of them were 4.3... the website works for me oddly enough...

6 irons in the fire? Wat XD

Sorry, "6 irons in the fire"--I'm working on several different things at the same time.
Curious, what is your baseband version and/or build number?
i.e.
Baseband version: I337UCUEMJB
Build number: JSS15J.I337UCUEMJB

you can probably find firmware at xda.com
my advice to anyone working with android is to use two sites here were you are and xda anything else is futile
True dat:)
I'm searching around and found this :
How to Fix/Unbrick or Recover Bricked AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-I747 | Smartphone Jam
but ran into a dead end because hotfile got pulled :( :banghead:
Hotfile was my goto for stuff as lots of folks had files there.

I found the baseband version (as well as the build number if you need it)

Baseband: I747MVLUEMK5 (It has cyanogenmod so it might be different, dunno)

Build number: cm_d2att-userdebug 4.4.2 KOT49H
InstallerXNPQ09Q release-keys

I think the build number all has to do with cyanogenmod... lol

What is a hot file?

Sorry I am a complete noob at this I'm just upset that I messed up this phone since I'm not even the one who pays for it every month...

its been awhile since i did anything with gs3 but when i did which was xmas time there really wasnt alot of tw custom roms, could have changed since than espicially with kitkat being launched, however im positive there is rooted stock rom that are tw based, if memory serves right there done by mr.robinson a respected xda developer

I am starting to think you aren't as much as a noob as you think you are..

You have some potential I am sure you will get tired of touchwiz and flash other ROMs you are taking the first steps all you need to see is touchwiz lag ...

you can use xda search engine or google what you want/need with xda in the parameters

All I came across was this: Samsung Galaxy S III/SGH-I747 - XDA-Developers

which is just the wiki page for the phone...

If he can get me one that is 4.3 (since anything else will make my phone blow up into a milllion pieces LOL) then I will give him like 1000000 likes XD
