How to get into Edit Picture mode?

When you use the S-pen hold button on the screen, you will take a screen shot and enter the Edit Picture mode where you could draw things on the screenshot and email/mms/etc...

How do you get into that mode with screenshot you took by using hand swipe? The only way I could do it is to take another screenshot of the screenshot using the S-pen.

From what I have been told you need to download the picture editor app from Samsung. But when I try and download it, my device comes up as not compatible. Hope someone can chime in and help!

That's what I did, just tested it with a screen shot and worked fine.

When I go to the settings menu on a picture I took, I see photo editor but when I click on it, it asks me to install the app and when I click yes nothing happens. Very annoyed!!!

Here in the USA, on my AT&T Note 2 and searching "Samsung" in the Google Play Store, there are no results for Samsung Photo Edit.

I have the AT&T version also. I had to install "Samsung apps" and then searched for editor. You have to scroll down but it's there.

Been searching for Samsung Apps in Play store and can not locate it

EDIT
I located "Samsung Apps" form Samsung Media Solutions Center - but it states

! This item is not available on your carrier.

I'm not 100% sure but I did find a Photo Editor app in the play store but it isn't from Samsung so I didn't load it. Didn't like the reviews I saw on the one on the Samsung apps site and forgot to check if it was the same developer as on the play store.

Okay thanks all. I downloaded PicsPlay. But it just seems so stupid that the photo edit software is in the phone somewhere! It just seem strange that it will let you use if you just took the screenshot with s-pen but won't let you use it for anything else.

BTW, I installed the Samsung App, and found the Photo Editor from Samsung, but it won't let me install it because it said it is not compatible with my device! I also found out that if you choose Paper Artist on the menu in Gallery, it gives you option to either go to Paper Artist or Photo Editor. But if you select Photo Editor, it said it is NOT installed on your device, and you have a button to Download it. If you select Download, nothing happens. :p

Hi do you have an app called "s suggest " on your phone? This is where you will find the photo editor, just go into that app then press the left soft button on your phone and the search button will come up, then type photo editor and it will be in the list, it's not on google play store,

Hope this helps.

Pete

Didn't work. It shows all the photo editor on Play store, but Photo Editor by Samsung is not on it. It shows up on the Samsung Apps store, but Samsung Apps store does not support all version of the Note II. It doesn't support AT&T Note II. Maybe it will show up later, by right now it only shows the model numbers for the international version, the t-mobile version, and the US cellular version. It won't let you install the app even though it finds it.

Not on the AT&T Note 2

So neither "S Suggest", nor "Samsung Apps" are available, nor are they possible to install.

Its correct I have a SGH-I317 - but the powers that be here in the USA and AT&T have blocked all access to those apps

Closest I see is this

EDIT -

Whacky, I used Google voice search for "S Suggest" - and my AT&T found a link, I clicked on it and it downloaded
http://www.samsung.com/us/article/s-suggest-finds-the-apps-you-need

but my App Manager has no listing for "S Suggest" , nor any other Samsung app.

And I have both "Samsung App" and "S Suggest" on my AT&T N2 yet photo editor still won't work. Samsungs tech support was very unhelpful and told me to try and call to get the phone exchanged.

So even if you get the apk file you wouldn't be able to install it?

Yes that worked! Found the APK file here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33409496&postcount=764

Downloaded that, and email it to myself. When I clicked the attachment, it said I cannot install because it is from Unknown source. Went to Setting -> Security and checked to accept installation from unknown source. Try again and worked! Thanks! I cannot believe they made it so hard to install the app.

Edit: The program crashes every time I hit one of the stamps. Drawing seems to work fine though and that's all I wanted. I did notice that the apk linked above is version 2.2.3, but the one in the Samsung Apps store is version 2.2.14.

Apk worked for me also. Only problem is some of the features cause the editor to stop working. Oh well I'm just glad its working.
