Root [HOW-TO] ICS Stock Root and S3 Candy!

Umm sorry to say, it is not working.

From what I got from Odin is a peaceful end (no success, no fail), right after checking its MD5.

Perhaps it is because of I'm using a GT-N7005, not exactly i717. (from what I read from XDA, this 2 should be compatible)

Because you have to flash this with ODIN to get the custom recovery installed, what you do is point it to the MD5 file and it has the contents and all that for ODIN to see the actual recovery file (second file). So, the first file by itself won't work, you need both.

Since I don't have a GT-N7005, I can't really work on this. I hope someone else can help!

Hey guys. I picked up the galaxy note I717(AT&T) about a month ago. I had a Droid X so i'm versed in flashing, rooting, etc. My question is, all these files are for rooting your stock 4.0.4 ICS correct? If so, my phone is already stock rooted so can I just flash the TouchWiz and SVoice zips to it?


EDIT: I flashed these files and the Svoice is working but the TouchWiz doesn't seem to have changed from the 4.0.4 version. Am I missing something? I flashed it twice.
