Followed this guide and all seemed to be straight forward. Went to move Need for Speed to SD Card but didnt give me the option. I removed it and went to reinstall to see if it installed to the SD Card, but now my Sync isnt working. Says it cant find it on the pc but i havent changed anything on the pc. Any ideas?

Strange, my NFS moved over just fine!

Right got HTC Sync working again, reinstalled NFS, didnt go on SD Card, still no option to move it, or any other app. Guess it didnt work. Back to the start again then.

Sure you did the guide correctly then? Did you get two $ signs?

I have a Sanyo Zio and I understand that when and if the Android 2,2 Froyo update becomes available for this device in February 2011 (according to a Sanyo Teck), this capability will be part of the OS.
Anyone know if this is true...if not will this or a similar procedure work on the Zio as well?
Thanks much people...

Did this yesterday and all works well except for the keyboard, no biggie, just moved it back to phone.

Had 2 updates this morning and all went fine.

There seems to be a bit of lag when it comes to apps loading on boot and my ringer profile always needs to be reset when I power up my phone in the morning, after turning it back on.

Any idea how to fix that?

Edit:

What happens if you do a battery pull?

Found a temporary fix for disappearing apps from the DOWNLOAD section of the MARKET. Install another app. Everything will re appear till you reboot. Reboot will make the apps disappear but you can get it back following the same process. You can uninstall the downloaded app if you want, others will still show.

Have a strange one!!

I had 92% free and all of a sudden I only have 75%!!

Then it jumped to 92% again!!

Hi....just read through the entire thread found it very helpful... but I haven't tried it yet as I need to know would this work on a wildfire... or is it just for the desire???!!!! Only got the phone yesterday.. bought a 32gb card.. didn't realise ( saleman never told me that it would be next to useless...) that it only use's internal mem...

No it won't. Because it only works on 2.2, and the wildfire is 2.1 just now isn't it? If it's 2.2 it will work on a wildfire.

It's a class 2.

Having say a class 6, will speed up everything from the time it takes to open a song, saving a picture, reducing camera / video recording lag and the speed it takes to open apps. So getting a better one might help.

As for the ringer thing, I haven't a clue.

I have went through this, but the option to move the apps to SD card is still grey on my apps :( I followed the instructions perfectly and the $ sign displayed twice. Have I done something wrong?

Cheers
Martin

Big thanks to Williamj1

I started doing this using the similar method on Androinica, but got lost at entering command prompts as they didn't include the most important bits ie

"cd desktop\android-sdk-windows\tools"
"adb devices"
"adb shell"
A $ sign should pop up
"pm setInstallLocation 2"
Another $ should pop up

Without your above help I would have been F*****

Cheers mate
